Oro
"Mannini Pahi" racing
At a summer meeting of Wharram Catamarans here in Cornwall I'm sailing the
Oro with as much skill as I can to beat the Pahi 42 of Peter Richardson
you can see astern. We're just entering "the bridge" and things
were getting tight... The Oro is quick & Chris & I have had lots
of practice sailing her (Chris is centre background in Red oilies) and I
am using my knowledge of Plymouth Sound to gain advantage but cannot
escape the Pahi. I was surprised but have to admit I think the Pahi would
have just won if I hadn't had the local knowledge. Blame it on the rain!
Some may recognise my winchman, Bjoern Wedel from Germany, Tiki 21
builder, now Pahi 31 owner. |
