Just
had 'Kembali Damai' on the sand-bar for a few days. A really good scrub
off, bottom inspection (no problems at all, thank goodness) epoxy primer
where necessary, and 20 litres of imported Japanese Kansai antifouling
rolled on. Sounds a lot of paint, I know, but actually it was very fast
drying stuff and couldn't be spread very far - 4 coats (one per day) left
just enough for a couple of coats on the dinghy, but they were thick
coats! Now we wait and see if it was worth it. Anyway, back on the mooring
yesterday morning and looking pretty good. Next job is the new one-piece
dark windows - start that job tomorrow. |

Right
& below: Been busy fitting new windows in the boat this week - turning
out nice too. Made them in a 'one-piece' design (actually 2 pieces but
looks like 1.) Got the second outboard side finished today, so all the
rest are easy. I was surprised at the difference it makes to the look of
the boat.... |
