Here
are the first pictures of the launching of Dogface, Narai MKIV,
in Norwalk Cove, Connecticut, USA. Work was in progress as
the travel lift picked the boat up! Launch was
necessary due to a boat show that utilizes the
entire yard. We will probably haul out again in 3 weeks to complete.
Motored to Stamford, Connecticut, about 15 miles away. Some
cavitation with the outboard, but the mount is
suspended by a temporary nylon strap, so adjustment
will be no problem. The rig started to come loose, as the rigger was
eager to get on with the rest of his Saturday and didn't put safeties on
the turnbuckles. Sheer terror while putting a headstay
turnbuckle back together
in a chop, glad to have two stays. |
